Consumer protection legal case files, 1978-1994.

This series consists of court proceedings, depositions, transcripts, and correspondence. The records are created and maintained to document the enforcement of consumer protection laws through civil and criminal actions. The bulk of the cases are against health spas, auto companies, home repair businesses, and matters dealing with mail fraud. The records include the names of the plaintiffs, defendants, attorneys, and witnesses; a description of the case; and information on the evidence that was presented.
